I have a soft spot for charities. I like to help others, sometimes by volunteering, sometimes by donating a painting. Recently, Camp Quinebaug representatives contacted me and asked me to donate a painting for their silent auction, so I visited their camp to get inspiration. While there I saw their large hall which had a huge area with no art, or photos. It seemed to me it needed a painting. So I decided to donate two paintings. I donated a painting of Lapsley Orchards, the tractor with pumpkins around it, and the painting below of the actual camp for their hall. This is a larger painting, about 24" x 18", framed with a light gray wood frame. I hope the campers and their families enjoy it for years to come!
In the meantime I have also donated and am working on some paintings for animal charities. I donated two paintings to Beech Brook Equine rescue in Mystic, and am working on one for Little long ears miniature donkey rescue. Its a wonderful rescue to follow... the pics alone will make you smile.
Please consider donating to any of these worthy charities.
