![]() This was a scene on Porter Pond Road last fall. There is something welcoming about swings.....like they are just waiting to take you away. To a time when you were young with no responsibilities besides learning your ABC's or what was for lunch. I liked the beautiful tree in full fall bloom with the swing waiting for you. Hope you like it too! I painted a larger one last year, so you are not seeing things, I did another, for those that are very observant. I am in the home stretch for the challenge, thank goodness! For every painting you see, there are also many that you don't see. So these challenges are lots of fun, but also lots of work. That's why I appreciate those that "like" my posts and love getting comments. Thanks to those that take the time out to do it! Its very appreciated! Once this is dry, it will be available at ARTicles Gallery, in Danielson, Ct. ![]() This is a local horse rescue, the Hay Burr Inn, in Plainfield, Ct. They posted this pic one day, and I just loved it. Who can resist a country painting with laundry? Then add in some adorable ponies, and you have a painting! This rescue helps lots of horses in need. Saving horses from neglect or at auctions and on there way to slaughter, this little rescue helps as much as they can. This painting will be donated to help this rescue. She was very mischievous, a typical kitten and very loved by her rescuer, and the followers of the facebook page. This is another worthy rescue I found on facebook. This woman takes animal cases in that are very difficult and heart wrenching to read about. She shows each animal so much love, and compassion that if there are angels on earth, she is one. Lump did not live a long life, but she lived a very loved one. If you are a cat lover and want to donate to a rescue that helps TONS of kitties, some in terrible shape and some just needing a chance, than look no further. This painting is not for sale, as It will be sent to the rescue to remember one of her favorite residents. I had been wanting to try a painting with chrome, and here it is. Boy was it harder than I thought! It took me a while, but I am happy to say that I stuck with it and am very pleased with how it came out. To purchase please visit my etsy shoppe through link below.
