Bonjour! I was fortunate to finally visit Paris last year. And although I loved the city before, I love it even more now! Seeing it in person was an amazing experience. It is certainly different to visit a country and city so old, as I live in the United States, which is a relatively young country. What a feeling it was to walk the beautiful streets and see the sites of so many historic events. Since my visit, I have enjoyed creating art inspired by the lovely cafes and other sites I saw there. I am also available for commissions if you have your own photo that you would like painted. As always, please visit my Etsy shop to see what paintings are available. Please click here to visit Etsy.
Portraits of Paris... to reminisce or inspire a visit!
Rue Montorgueil
Flowers cascade over an awning as some dancers enjoy the moment.
Eiffel Tower View
An actual lovely view in Paris I was that I was lucky to see!
Rue Cler Florist
A florist prepares for the day at his floral shoppe.
Many of my Paris paintings have one of my favorite sayings... "Paris est toujours une bonne idée!" Most of the time it is on a building awning but sometimes you can find it somewhere else....
Paris is always a good idea!
I am creating a series of paintings with lovely floral cafes with different sayings... This is a smaller panoramic to brighten up your home. For more information on it please click here to visit my etsy site.
On mornings the famous Rue Cler is bustling with activity while business owners ready for the day. A pedestrian street normally, in the morning delivery trucks empty their stock and shop owners bring out their food or items to sell to cabinets lining the streets. While we walked to breakfast we passed all this activity. Next to the cafe we ate at was this florist performing his morning chores. What a lovely typical morning Parisians that I was lucky to see.
This painting is still looking for a home to remind the owner of the busy street of Rue Cler! Click here to visit Etsy for more info!
Towards the end of the work day when you look around, you will notice many people walking, most likely home, with a baguette. I was taking a photo of this pretty florist shoppe, when this stylish woman walked into the photo... with her baguette.
Another lovely scene of this incredible city... this painting is still available for anyone interested.

This was a pretty cafe that I saw on Rue Montorgueil one spring day. Flowers draped down over the cafe awning, with chairs waiting for you to come and take a seat. I added some dancers that are dancing to music flowing from the cafe.
Many of my paintings have a subtle reminder on them, you just have to look for it. The reminder is that Paris is always a good idea!
This painting is still looking for a wall to hang on to remind the owner of the wonderful beauty waiting for them in Paris!
Teddy Bears are a thing in Paris... you can see them in many places, such as this cafe! Here are some Teddy's saying Bonjour, or Au Revoir!
This is an actual cafe in Paris! We stumbled upon this on our walks throughout the city. And it is so charming! Just as shown, there are teddy bears peeking out of windows, climbing into windows, in doorways, or on bikes. Adorable for sure!
This painting has that same message about Paris being a good idea... because it is!
This painting is available in my Etsy shoppe. Please click here for more information.
While heading back to our apartment one day we came across this beautiful view! What a sight to see!! We were lucky to also eat here as well. Whenever possible, I recommend you take a side street to discover more wonderful places!
Because you never know what you will find... This painting has sold but I may paint it again one day!
On Rue Cler, is this lovely cafe! We ate breakfast here twice and it was delicious! I enjoyed it so much I have tried to replicate the eggs I had there at my own home... they came out similar but I fear the only thing I can do is go back and enjoy them once again!
If you are in Paris, you should try to visit Rue Cler at least once, as it has a bunch of lovely shops and is very picturesque as well. This painting is in someone's home to remind them of their time staying in a hotel with a view of Rue Cler! Merci!
Even a rainy day is lovely in Paris... I mean you are in Paris, any day is wonderful regardless of weather! This was a pretty cafe I saw on one rainy day... and the first painting that I decided to add the words "Paris est toujours une bonne idée!" Paris is always a good idea... because it is! The striped awning and soft flowers climbing the building above pulled me right in to take a photo. Can you see why? This painting went home to Katy, who also loves Paris! Thanks to Katy for giving my art a home!
Looking for more than a painting? My art is on Fine Art America, where they have my art on tote bags, shower curtains, prints, pillows puzzles, ornaments, and so much more! Click here to see what is available!
So many beautiful sights in Paris...and here is yet another. A blossoming corner profuse with color. And in front of it the traditional Parisienne style of building, with lovely overhang to protect guests from the rain. This painting and many others of mine always have a message too.... "Paris est toujours une bonne idée!"
Because it is! This painting has sold. Merci beaucoup to Jennifer for giving it a home!
There are more paintings in progress, if you would like to see what I am painting, you can follow me on facebook or instagram. Please find me on facebook here. If you would like to see instagram, please click here.
If you are planning a trip to Paris, and want to stay near Rue Cler and the Eiffel Tower, I highly recommend "My Maison in Paris-Invalides." I do not get anything from this recommendation, just enjoy sharing my great experience with others. We booked a two-room apartment, for 4 people and had a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower from our balcony. Photos above are from the balcony.
