This painting was inspired by a friends photo on Instagram. I loved the sky and the reflections in the windows of the hotel. I always enjoy the golden hour of the day. Its when the sun is going down, and it bathes everything in a pretty golden glow. Here is the Contemporary glowing during that hour.
I have always been mesmerized by this hotel. I am from New England, and am always astonished by a hotel open to the elements.
If you look close, there is a mickey balloon in one of the windows.
Painting is 16" x 20" on canvas, about 3/4' thick.
