Going home!
Going home! That's what this car is doing.... this is a pretty home along Ocean Drive in Newport, Rhode Island. I always love the charm of this little guard house entrance. So of course is inspired a painting. I added the cute car and pink flowers. Car is similar to one I rode in as a kid. My Dad's friend had an old Ford with a rumble seat! What fun to ride in one! Something you should do if you have never done it.
So these people are arriving back home, after....... lunch? A drive along Belleview Ave seeing mansions? A lunch at Breton point? Whatever your mind can dream up. If you look close she has a pretty purple hat on, so I am going with a nice picnic lunch at Breton point where you were enjoying watching the kites.
Either way this cheery painting reminds you of simpler times......
