- Aunt Cil's flag
Aunt Cil's flag
This was a pretty scene I saw in Rhode Island on my way to the beach. It was a regular issue flag, and I thought it would be neat to do a different variation of the flag. I paint the flag often, and love to change things up!
So I did an online search of flag variations and found the bicentennial flag. Then I remembered my Aunt Cil. She used to collect bicentennial quarters. So it was a perfect fit.....
I painted the bicentennial design and thought of my wonderful Aunt, that would send me a $5 bill to take my kids for ice cream. Or how I would call her just to hear her glorious laugh. And how she used to have me for sleepovers with my other cousins.... so this painting has lots of wonderful, happy vibes associated with it. If it wasn't cheerful enough with those bright flowers!
Painting is 20” x 16” on canvas, unframed, about 3/4” thick, and has a light varnish over painting.
Painting does not need a frame, as the sides are painted. Please see photos to see sides.
